• December - U.S. Gas & Electric (USG&E) participates in the Steps for Healing 5K Run/Walk benefitting the Children’s Bereavement Center held in North Miami, FL. USG&E raises over $375.00 to assist children and their families in dealing with the loss of a significant loved one.
  
  Pennsylvania Gas & Electric (PAG&E) begins supplying electricity to customers in the Duquesne Light Energy service area and Allegheny Energy service area.
  
  U.S. Gas & Electric (USG&E) hosts the annual Holiday Party at the Doral in Doral, Florida. USG&E honors members of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve at the event through participation in the Toys for Tots program to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas.
• November - U.S. Gas & Electric (USG&E) begins offering service contracts for air conditioning units, water heaters, and natural gas systems to customers in New York and New Jersey through our strategic partnership with Petro.
  
  Maryland Gas & Electric (MDG&E) begins supplying electricity to the residential customers in the Baltimore Gas & Electric service area.
  
  Pennsylvania Gas & Electric (PAG&E) begins supplying natural gas to customers in the UGI Utilities service area.
  
  U.S. Gas & Electric (USG&E) launches the Partners in Power program offering affinity partnerships to companies and non-profit organizations interested in providing highly competitive energy rates to employees, members, and associates.
• October - U.S. Gas & Electric (USG&E) participates in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure event held in Miami, Florida. USG&E raises over $5,776 to assist the foundation with finding a cure for breast cancer.
• September - U.S. Gas & Electric (USG&E) forms a strategic alliance with Petro, a home heating oil and air conditioning services company. The partnership enables USG&E and Petro to provide additional products and services to customers.

  Pennsylvania Gas & Electric (PAG&E) begins supplying electricity to customers in the PECO service area.
• August - USG&E officially opens its World Class Contact Center in Doral, Florida.

• July - Illinois Gas & Electric (ILG&E) begins supplying electricity to the customers in the Commonwealth Edison service area.
• June - New Jersey Gas & Electric (NJG&E) begins supplying electricity to customers in the Jersey Central Power & Light service area, Atlantic City Electric service area, Rockland County Electric Co. service area, and Public Service Electric & Gas service area.
• May - New Jersey Gas & Electric (NJG&E) begins supplying natural gas to customers in the Public Service Electric & Gas service area.

• January - U.S. Gas & Electric forms an affinity partnership with the Atlantic Metropolitan Hockey League (AMHL) to provide highly competitive energy prices to league associates.

• December - USG&E receives the Key to City of Doral for outstanding economic contribution and development in South Florida.
• October - Michigan Gas & Electric (MIG&E) begins supplying natural gas to the customers in the Michigan Gas Utilities service area.
  
  Pennsylvania Gas & Electric (PAG&E) begins supplying natural gas to the customers in the Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania service area.
